Body of Ash — Returns & Refunds
Because every artifact from Body of Ash is individually sand-cast, hand-forged, and poured to your exact specification, our return policy reflects the bespoke, technical nature of our work.
Our policy does not limit, exclude, or modify your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Sizing & "Change of Mind" (Custom Pours)

No Change of Mind Refunds: We do not offer refunds, cancellations, or store credit if you simply change your mind, decide you no longer want the piece, or select the incorrect style.

The Sizing Policy: Because our rings are heavy, raw bands cast directly into physical sand molds to your specified size, they cannot be simply "stretched" or resized like mass-produced mall jewelry. Ordering the correct size is the buyer's responsibility.

The Re-Pour Fee: If you order the wrong size, we want you to be able to wear your relic. We offer a conditional exchange program: you return the pristine, unworn ring, and pay a flat $60 AUD Re-Pour Fee. This covers the technical labor, new sand mold preparation, and crucible fuel required to completely melt down the silver and cast a brand-new ring in your updated size.
2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items (ACL Guarantees)
We take pride in the raw, industrial grit of our forge, but structural integrity is absolute. If a piece arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect or is not what you ordered, you are fully entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

Major Failure: If a piece arrives with a major failure (e.g., a catastrophic structural crack in the silver that makes it unwearable, or the wrong item altogether), you have the right to choose between:

A full refund returned to your original payment method.

A fast-tracked, high-priority replacement pour.

Minor Failure: If the problem is minor (e.g., an easily corrected surface blemish that limits the wearability, though rough texture is a natural feature of our sand-casting process), we will repair the item for free within a reasonable timeframe.
3. The Return Process
If you need to initiate a Re-Pour for a size exchange, or report a structural fault:

Email us at foundry@bodyofash.com.au within 14 days of receiving your package.

Include your Order Number, a clear description of the issue, and high-resolution photos if you are reporting a defect.

Once approved, we will provide you with our return postal address.

Return Shipping Costs: If you are returning an item for a size exchange (Re-Pour), you are responsible for the return postage costs. If the item is confirmed faulty under the ACL, Body of Ash will fully reimburse your reasonable return shipping costs upon inspection.

Condition: Items sent back for size exchange must be completely unworn, undamaged, and returned in their original packaging.
